· Help: Fidelio

Metra PMS interface was developed according to the FIAS (Fidelio Interface Application Specification) version 2.12.

NOTE: FIAS (Fidelio Interface Application Specification) is supported by the following PMS systems from MICROS-Fidelio: Fidelio Suite 6, Fidelio Suite 7, Fidelio Suite 8 & OPERA. It is NOT supported by 'Fidelio Xpress'.

"ID Export" for Points of Sale and Taxes must be set, if not Metra PMS interface will not work properly!

There are two possibilities when using Metra software in correlation with Micros Fidelio software. Simple "Room" solution is easier and less demanding to setup, but without support for authorization and also less secure. More advanced "Card" solution requires authorization and is therefore more secure. It requires RFID media to be issued on Fidelio reception desks through FIAS using Key records. To enable this Metra Desktop POS readers have to be installed on Fidelio reception desks and connected to Metra NET Network.

A persistent connection to the Micros Fidelio DB server is always required. The connection should be left up and running until the one of the systems needs to be shut down for maintenance purposes or similar.

Operating mode is set in Settings: External Delivery - Mode. NOTE: Both operating modes can be used simultaneously.
