Function buttons

Code: Enter Service's ID.

Description: Type-in Service's description.

Enabled: If " - Unchecked" all Items based on this Service are hidden in the Metra POS Software.

Color: From the drop down menu select colour of the Wristband. Used for Wristband Issuer when colour coding is required.

Comment:  Available only if "Comment" check engine is checked on the System page. If " - Checked" additional window pops up upon item sale in POS Client software. Comment, if added, is also seen on the bill/delivery note.

Tax: Select Service's Tax group. NOTE: If tax is not selected, discount can not be added to Item based on service. If adding Service like Electric Money, Token and optionally Deposit Tax must not be selected!

Tax 2: Select Service's Tax 2 group. NOTE: Tax 2 is country specific setting as in some countries two different tax rates are used.

Group: Select Service group.

TC: Not in use. Customer specific setting.

TYPICAL TICKETS - Examples

Daily 1x visit guest with capture

Used by daily guests who only make one entrance, use the services of the system and upon leaving theirs Ticket/RFID Media (wristband, clip, etc.) is captured (retained).

 

Assigned check engines for a basic tickets of this type:

- Access with parameter of 1 day.

- Pool for the main passage.

- Points on the main passage with parameter 1 point, to limit number of entrances.

- Capture to retain theirs RFID Media (ticket: wristband, clip, etc.) upon exit.

- Several entrance time A and/or B check engine(s) to enable different entrance time limitations

 

These kind of tickets can:

- Have the possibility of cashless vending in credit or debit mode or both – Allow delivery and electronic money check engine.

- Have initially assigned items which are borrowed – Borrow check engine.

- Be duration limited to require additional payment in case of overstay – Minutes check engine.

- Be initially purchased for the duration of the whole day and offer refund of money in case of premature/early departure – refund check engine*.

- Have the possibility to lock ELS lockers in the system – Locker LCC NET check engine.

 

Long term tickets - "Hotel" guests

Used by hotel/apartment guests who use the services of the system for a longer period of time/days.

 

Assigned check engines for a basic ticket of this type:

- Access without parameter of days.

- Pool on the main passage.

- Daily points on the main passage with parameter x points, to limit number of entrances per day on the main passage to x. (optional)

- Exit counter on.

- Several entrance time A and/or B check engine(s) to enable different entrance time limitations.

 

These kind of tickets can:

- Have the possibility of cashless vending in credit or debit mode or both – Allow delivery and electronic money check engine.

- Have initially assigned items which are borrowed – borrow check engine.

- Be duration limited to require additional payment in case of overstay – Minutes check engine.

- Be initially purchased for the duration of the whole day and offer refund of money in case of premature/early departure – refund check engine*.

- Have the possibility to lock ELS lockers in the system – Locker LCC NET check engine.

 

Staff tickets

Used by staff. Usually only the staff and DT Limits check engine are assigned to such tickets.

Date validity can be long term such as 100 days, half a year or a year or even more.

For each passage that access is to be granted the staff check engine must be assigned. Else access is denied.

These tickets can be combined with all other check engines if needed such as entrance time, points or such, but usually they are unlimited from that point of view.

 

Service tickets

Used by service staff. Only service and DT Limits check engines are assigned to such a ticket. Suggested date validity limit is 1 day, since any ticket with service check engine on any passage has unlimited access to all access devices in the system.

In a system with ticket capture/retain devices such as the Metra wristband capturer – WBC there is another type of service ticket that is defines. One with also the capture check engine assigned.

This one is used for testing of the WBC, as it can be continuously presented to the WBC and will be captured each time over and over again. Of course within its defined date validity.

 


*For refund a combination of refund and minutes check engine is used to enable additional payment after refund to prevent fraud; if the guest makes the refund procedure and does not leave the system in a certain time frame.
