· Help: Create a Ticket based on Points / Daily Points (Example)

Daily Points are used for long term tickets (usually) to limit daily number of entrances on a particular passage; e.g. 1 per day, 2, 3, etc.

Tickets with the Daily Points Check Engine issued are checked on Metra access control devices upon entrance if there are any (daily) points left. Each entrance submits one point. On the next day all the assigned daily points are available again; Regardless if all daily points were used up on the previous day or not. Daily points do not accumulate to the next day if not used up on a particular day.

Points are used for daily or long term tickets to limit absolute number of entrances on a particular passage; e.g. 1 entrance (daily), 2, 10, 20, 30, etc (long term).

Tickets with the Points Check Engine issued are checked on Metra access control devices upon entrance if there are any points left. Each entrance submits one point.

If issued in conjunction with the Capture check engine, remaining points disable wristband capture. Guest can leave the system with the wristband if any points are left; this feature is used for tickets with more than 1 point issued to them (e.g. 10, 20, 30, etc.). When all points are taken on entrance the wristband will be captured on exit.

Long term tickets are issued with longer date validity (DT Limits check engine) like a month, ¼ year, ½ year, etc. One day tickets with one point are date limited. Usually to only one day (current day).

This example shows how to create tickets with pre-set number of Points (colour coded yellow) and tickets without pre-set number of Points (colour coded blue) where the number of points is entered when Ticket is created. Common for settings & parameters for both types of Tickets is colour coded green.

Check Engine Points can be combined with Check Engine Daily Points, where Tickets have pre-set number of Points, but with Daily Points Check Engine number of max used Points per day can be set. Example: User has a Ticket with 10 Points, but he can use max 2 Points per day.

NOTE: You can also create Ticket Property where you can enter desired number of Points, if Count is entered, the value is shown (pre-set) in Metra POS Software when creating a Ticket but it can be changed to desired value in "?" is Checked. Select the corresponding Item.

NOTE: In Metra POS Software when creating a new Ticket with X Points and Points value is entered the price set will be the closest to the Prices previously added in Price List A. See Examples bellow.

Examples (if only Prices for 5, 10 and 20 Points are set):

If 30 is entered in Metra POS Software, the Price set will be the Price of 20 Points but the Ticket will have 30 Points.

If 8 is entered in Metra POS Software, the Price set will be the Price of 10 Points but the Ticket will have only 8 Points.

Price for X Ticket is set to 10,00 (RFID Media carrier) + Price of Points (added in STEP 5) in case the Ticket/RFID Media is lost.

Other Tickets have the RFID Media carrier already included in Price.

Price of Additional Points does not include RFID Media carrier, because Additional Points are always added to already created Ticket.

NOTE: RFID Media's price can also be included as a Deposit, as it was set for Hotel long term Tickets. See Services Add & Edit examples for example and Deposit for instructions.
