· Help: Create a Daily Ticket with Refund (Example) |
Refund is used for whole day tickets with option of money refund for premature/early departure (e.g. before 3 h of stay, before 2 h, etc.).
Tickets with the Refund Check Engine issued are checked on Metra access control devices upon exit against the time stamp of last successful entrance.
If time of attempt of exit is smaller than the defined refund time, exit is not granted. A procedure of money refund must be performed at the cash desk; Item refunded for this is of a Type “refund”.
If time of exit attempt is greater than the defined refund time, exit is granted.
New example Ticket will be created in existing Item Group "Daily" and Service Group "Daily". Ticket will also have Additional Payment after Refund if user asks for Refund but does not leave in set time.
NOTE: "Add. Payment after Refund" should not be confused with "Additional Payment" created in Create a 3 hour Ticket with Additional Payment.
STEP 1:
In Tables\Sale\Services add two new Services with no Check Engines. Services will be used later on for Penalty Items.

STEP 2:
In Tables\Sale\Items add new Item. Select "Minutes" type and leave Price empty.

STEP 3:
In Tables\Sale\Price List A add new Additional Payment after Refund and Refund.
STEP 4:
In Tables\Sale\Ticket Properties add two new Ticket Properties. For first (called "Additional Payment after Refund") select "Minutes" Check Engine and for second (called "Refund Under 3h") select "Refund" Check Engine. For "Additional Payment after Refund" set Minutes to "9999" and for "Refund Under 3h" set minutes as required and select appropriate Item.

STEP 5:
Go back to Tables\Sale\Services and add new Service with checked both Minutes and Refund Check Engines added in STEP 4 as well as other required Check Engines. See also Services Add & Edit examples.

STEP 6:
Go to Tables\Sale\Items and add new Item based on Service added in STEP 5. For Penalty Item select Item added in STEP 2 (ADD002 - (9) Additional Payment after Refund).

STEP 7:
Daily Ticket with Refund under 3h is now available in Metra POS Software. Guest can not exit if he/she has the right for Refund. After the Refund is collected guest must leave within 10 minutes otherwise Additional Payment after Refund is charged.
